How do we decide on a location for our session? First, you need to decide what kind of feel you want your pictures to have? Do you like an urban look (old textured walls, doors, metal backgrounds, etc..), or do you prefer a natural setting (parks, fields, rock features, orchards etc..), or do you like a Country ( old broken down barns and houses in a country setting, with weathered, textured woods & metals)?
What time of day is best for taking pictures? I prefer to schedule our session when the lighting is best. Lighting during midday tends to be too bright and causes shadowing under eyes. Late afternoon, early evening, or early morning is when the light is softer and is when I prefer to shoot our session.
What kind of clothing should we wear? You should choose a style of clothing that reflects you and your family. Do not feel like you have to all be matching. Picking two or three different colors and mixing them between family members is nice way to look unified, but still allows for individuality. Adding layers and different textures will give more depth to your pictures. Be careful to use pattern sparingly, clothing that is too busy will be distracting. How to I reserve a session? Before a session can be reserved your session fee must first be paid. You can pay your session fee on the left hand side of this blog under payment. Payments are taken through paypal. If you do not have a paypal account I can take your card number over the phone or you can mail me a check, your session will be put on my calendar once your check or other payment is received. A 6% sales tax will be added to each session fee.
What if I have to cancel my session or there is bad weather on the day of our session? I have a family and understand that things come up unexpectedly at times. Please be respectful of my time by giving me at least 48 hour notice. If there happens to be bad weather on the day of our session we will reschedule at the earliest convenient time.
Once our session is over what next? After our session I will put up a password protected gallery for you and your family to enjoy. The number of images for you to view in your gallery will depend on what type of session you purchased. Once the gallery is posted it will be live for 5 days. If after the five days you would like your gallery to be reposted a reposting fee of $25.00 will be charged.
How do I order my prints? All ordering takes place through your password protected online gallery. Feel free to share your password with family and friends so they can enjoy them as well. Your family and friends can also make orders through your gallery. Payments for your print orders are also made through the gallery. All prints are printed at a professional lab and will be quality checked by me before you receive your final products. A 6% sales tax will also be added to your order total.
Do you offer Digital files or a CD of High Resolution Images? Individual digital files are available to purchase in the a la carte menu.
